How long have you guys been around?

This company started out  as www.Salonsofcanada.com in 2004 using the old directory style of unclaimed listings. We took  it over in 2013, re-designed and added new features and are now relaunching under new innovative management as http://exclusivebeautydirectory.com/

We also deleted the unclaimed listings and removed the ability for bots to submit spam listings that hurt our rankings.

All listings are  now manually submitted  by our marketing team.  This will ensure that only genuine listings are promoted on our site.

Are you really a Canadian owned company?

Yes we are.  We are located in Whitby Ontario.  Our Parent Company is Webdesign and Internet Solutions.

Is your live help available 24 hours?

No.  “Live Chat” option available between the hours of  10 am to 8 pm Eastern time

Do you operate your own beauty business?

No we do not.  We are a team of marketers. We do not operate any of the business types listed in our directory.

Why can’t I set up my Membersite myself?

Great question.

2 Reasons. Security and Professionalism

SECURITY

To protect your MemberSite from malicious content, we do not allow anyone to post in our directory. We know from past experience that un-supported directories are bad for your business. A good directory must be loaded with fresh content daily and must be engaged in promoting its members’ presence on the internet. We know from actual experience that only well-run directories that are maintained by site owners will survive long term.  WE intend to be around. Please see our “About Us” page to learn more about our history.

We previously had tons of unclaimed listings which we deleted.  We then removed the ability for human or  bots to submit spam listings that hurt our rankings and our credibility.

PROFESSIONALISM 

All listings are now manually set up by our marketing team.  This will ensure that only genuine listings are promoted on our site and your Membersite will not be lost among unclaimed spam listings.

We also ensure the best quality of service when our marketing team establishes your site for you.  We are currently waiving the set up fee OF $199 to encourage new members to join us.  This is for a limited time only.

How long after I sign up will my Membersite be set up.

We will create your UNIQUE MemberSite within in 5 – 7 business days AFTER recieving ALL required information.  We will submit a sample to you for your approval. Once we get your approval your membersite will become live. You will be informed by email with a link to your Unique membersite.

How do you market my site?

Your MemberSite is marketed COLLECTIVELY.  When we post on twitter  or facebook this links back to our Exclusive Directory where your site is hosted.

I already have a listing on another website directory?

We strongly recommend that you maintain your listing if you are getting the exposure and service that meets your needs. If is not broken – don’t fix it.

 Our service is NOT in competition with ANY other directory service that you are currently using.  We see our service as a COMPLEMENT to that service.  You can never have too much exposure for your business – when you join us -you are simply increasing your exposure.  

Why do I need to advertise in a directory

The main reason is for exposure.  Having your business in an industry directory is beneficial to you for many reasons.

If a prospective customer is seeking some form of beauty service, the prospective client may likely search for beauty salons in Canada for example and then search for a specific city.  If you are part of a directory the visitor will likely find you when searching the directory since the visitor does not know the name of your business.

An example: Carla a visitor from Italy is coming to visit your area.  Carla would not necessarily know of your business, she would likely do a google and conduct a search for “salons in Canada” would she find your beauty business?  Go ahead and search for “salons in Canada”  is your business listed?

Is Salons of Canada listed there?  

Yes – We are number 3 on page 1. If your business is listed in our Exclusive Beauty Directory – Carla would find you.  

Our goal is to be number 1 in all beauty categories.

Do I get a refund if I un-subscribe?

YES and NO

We do not offer any refund for membership IN THE FIRST YEAR – as the cost of THE LABOUR for manually setting up your membersite is equal to the  cost of your  one year membership.  Refunds for YEAR TWO onwards will be to the value of remaining full months of your annual membership LESS 2 MONTHS ADMIN FEE.

Example:  Year Two Refund – if you have a membership starting January to December and you request a refund in May (June and July will be your admin fee deduction) we will pro-rate the remaining months and issue you a refund from August  to December.

You would be sorry to see you go. We would however, appreciate your invaluable feedback to help us improve in any area you have identified as requiring same.
